THE LAKE of CAZAUX-SANGUINET, WATER QUALITY
This document addresses the quality of the water of the Lake, in relation with its different uses: bathing, production of drinking water, fishing. After presenting the process of eutrophication and other causes of pollution, quality standards and analysis data are indicated.
Finally, the preventative and curative remediations are exposed.

POLLUTION OF SURFACE WATER, EUTROPHICATION AND CYANOBACTERIA
This document describes the main mechanisms of surface water pollution, especially eutrophication and the development of cyanobacteria.Public health issues are addressed whether for drinking water, water for swimming or fishing.
Only the process in relation to eutrophication are described along with substances that cause or result of eutrophivation. This restriction does not assume, however, that other substances are less dangerous.

POLLUTION OF SURFACE WATER – CHEMICALS
Introduce the concepts of acute and chronic toxicity.Effects still unknown a few years ago or underrated: bioconcentration, impurities, degradation products, synergistic action toxicity… are now common.
Although chemicals are used on a large scale only for half a century, the consequences are dramatic: proportion of polluted water masses, concentration of pollutants in fish, sometimes requiring a reduction in consumption, fishing and swimming prohibited…

STUDY OF CYANOBACTERIA DIVERSITY OF WATER BODIES OF BISCARROSSE
This study presents the different genera and species of cyanobacteria found in the water bodies of Biscarrosse: the Lake of Cazaux-Sanguinet, Parentis-Biscarrosse Lake and the small pond of Biscarrosse. It intends to identify quickly and easily from cyanobacteria sampled from these water bodies but also to highlight the microbial richness of these water bodies and thus the need to protect these ecosystems.Full document: 61 pages – 2012

SATELLITE REMOTE SENSING FOR WATER QUALITY
This document describes the satellite detection method based on spectral analysis of the light scattered by water and substances in suspension or dissolved. The limits and difficulties are then presented as well as the results obtained and the possibilities for the Landes Lakes.
